Admission Procedure

Regulations:

 The following are the Regulations for admission into B.Sc. Paramedical Technology

Colleges affiliated to Dr.NTR UHS Vijayawada under competent Authority Quota seats in Private Un-aided non-minority B.Sc. Paramedical Technology colleges in the state of AndhraPradesh for the academic year2024-2025.

1.Eligibility:

Provided that the candidates who got registered as persons of Indian Origin(PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)Card holders on or after 04.03.2021 are eligible for admission only against any Non-Resident Indian seat or any supernumerary seat; and shall not be eligible for admission against ant seat reserved exclusively for Indian Citizen.

2.Minimum Age:

  1. a) candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on the 31st December 2024.
  2. b) Candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31.12.2024 are not eligible.

c)Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as Indicated in the Board of Secondary Certificate Examination(SSC) or Equivalent Examination.

d)No upper age limit.

3.Educational Qualification:

Qualification

Two-years of Board of Intermediate Education Andhrapradesh/Telangana passed with Science (Physics,Chemistry and Biology)and English as compulsory subject.

(or)

10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/SSCE/HSCE/APOSS or other equivalent board of Intermediate Education ,Andhra Pradesh.

(or)

Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences of Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Ø English is compulsory subject.

Ø Students shall be admitted once in a year.

4.Duration of course:

The duration of B.Sc. Paramedical Technology course is 3 academic years + 1-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship.The candidate admitted into B.Sc. Paramedical Technology Courses shall pursue the course in accordance with syllabus prescribed by the University for the Respective Course.

6.Examinations:

The examinations will be conducted at the end of each academic year both in theory and practicals. The supplementary examinations will be conducted within 6 months after the main examination conducted by the University for all the three phases of the course.Teachers with MD/MS

Qualification with one year experience and M.Sc(M) with three years experience may be appointed as Examiners.

7.Attendance:

  1. a) A candidate shall be considered to have satisfied the requirement of attendance if he/she attends not less than 75% of the classes held in each of the subjects separately for theory and practical postings in each academic year. However if the attendance of students is 60% and the above but below75%,it may be condoned by the University on the recommendation of the Principal and on the payment of condonation fee as prescribed by the University.
  1. b) A candidate who does not satisfy the requirements of attendance in any subject shall not be permitted to take the University examination in that particular subject and he/she shall be required to appear the same in asubsequent exam.

8.Minimum for a pass:

a)A candidate shall be declared to have passed in a subject if he/she obtains not less than40% in the written and 50% in practical examinations in the University examination and an Aggregate of 50% marks including the Internal Assessment.

  1. b) If a candidate fails in either theory or practicals he/she has to appear for both theory and practicals in the subject in any subsequent examination and ha/she must obtain the minimum marks as specified above for a pass in the subjects.

9.Promotion criteria:

  1. a) A candidate with two backlog subjects in B.Sc Paramedical first year may be promoted to B.Sc.Paramedical Second
  1. B) A candidate with one Backlog subject in Second Year B.Sc Paramedical May be promoted to the Third Year B.Sc Paramedical Course but the candidate has to clear all the backlog subjects of 1st and 2nd year to eligible to appear for third Year B.Sc Paramedical University Examination.
  1. EXAMINATION:

The Candidate will have to appear for examinations as prescribed by the university from time to time

  1. Qualifying Marks:

A candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination if he/ she obtains the following qualifying marks.

50% of marks in the Theory Internal Assessment

50% marks in Practical Internal Assessment.

50% marks in University Theory examination.

50% marks in University Practical examination and

50% of aggregate in theory, Practical / Oral marks taken together

  1. Classification of results:
  • Second class- 50% and above but less than 65% of total marks.
  • First class- 65% and above but less than 75% of the total marks and having passed the examination in first attempt.

Distinction- 75% and above of total marks and having passed the examination in first attempt.
